Overall January’s sales numbers for the Sarasota Real estate market showed strong signs again, posting another month of over 500 homes sold .  The total number for January was 584 homes sold of which 379 were in Sarasota.  The overall inventory for homes for sale in Bradenton/Sarasota was 4036 and 1740 pending sales.

The condo market also was strong with 217 sold for both Bradenton/Sarasota of which 153 were in Sarasota county. The overall condo inventory is 2146 units with 716 pending.

Certainly buyers are seeing that the market is undervalued as reported in an article on CCN.com that listed the 10 top undervalued cities across the U.S.

CNNMoney.com had an interesting article today about the most over valued and under valued real estate markets in the United States.  You can read the article here or check to see the most over valued and under valued cities list.

Sarasota, Florida was the 18th most undervalued city in the U.S. They figure that we are 28% undervalued. In 2006 CNNMoney.com had a similar article stating that Sarasota was 56% overvalued.
