March 11th, 2010Total available single family homes for sale in the Sarasota/Bradenton market is, 6981. The number of homes for sale in the Sarasota Real estate market is 4,096.Pending sales are up 8% from last month at 1901. Thus, continuing to show strong signs of home selling.
Home sales last month was 448 which mirrors Decembers numbers and condos sales were 139. These numbers continue you to be strong indicators that the market has reached it’s bottom and these numbers are typicall prior to the boom in 2003.
More good news is home losses are downt 34%. Forclosures in Mantee County bucked a statewide trend in February , dropping 34 % with the same month last year, and 16 % from January.
Meanwhile, Sarasota County’s foreclosure actions were up 40% from a year ago, but foughly flat with January. One in every 184 housing units received some type of forrclosure notice during Feb.
